“Hello Rebecca,
My name is Ashley and I am writing to find out if you were my roommate from Disney in 2004. Her name was Rebecca Hoseth. She was a very nice girl and I lost contact with her. You look very much like her and if you are not, I am very sorry to take up your time. Please reply back and let me know if I have contacted you by mistake. Thank you for your time.
Ashley”
“Becca,
Oh my goodness!!! You have just made my day! I could write a book right now.
So I’m gonna give you the short version of my life!
Jan – 2004 I met the most wonderful, beautiful Norwegian (also my roommate.) ![]()
End of 2004 – You disappeared from my life! ![]()
(…)
June 2007 – now. Still with Disney but now in scheduling. I make the schedules for all of EPCOT custodial. Everytime I go to Epcot to meet my contacts, I see the Norway building and think of you.
Now the part about finding you. (I had a tough time.)
It’s something I have thought about many times. I questioned, how do I ever make contact with you again. I tried a couple of different ways in the past, but that didn’t work.
(…)
Then I was talking to my boyfriend, telling him about you, and telling him i wanted to find you to write back and forth. He started laughing and didn’t think it was possible. All last night I was determined to find you. He kept telling me I was stalking you. I told him no, that i really wanted to find you (so maybe I kind of did but I hope you don’t mind.)
This is crazy but this is how I found you. I was on facebook looking (because we had discussed it at work about facebook being world wide). I couldn’t find you under Norway, but I found this girl named Victoria. And I kept telling myself that I remembered you talking about your sister or family member, Victoria. She looked so much like you. So I looked all over her site and could not find you, but I thought I saw you in a couple of her pictures. So I click on the Hoseth tab and saw you. I just knew that it was you and that if it wasn’t you, then you had an identical twin somewhere. The only problem is that I could not add you as my friend because it would not let me.
I did not stop there because I couldn’t contact you to write to you. So my boy friend had the idea to google your name and see what came up. Sure enough he clicked on a couple of websites and found your picture and I found an email address for you. So I could write to you (or what I was hoping was you.)
(…)
And now I am super excited because it’s you and I have found my long lost Norwegian roommate. ![]()
I hope you hear all about you. ![]()
Ashley <3 :) “
